Junior Team History
In January 2010, the Treasure Coast Rowing Club (TCRC) Juniors program was formed for students from high schools in Martin, southern St Lucie and northern Palm Beach counties. The Juniors program started with just a few high school students, but over the years and with massive efforts from the Masters of TCRC, the Juniors program has grown to almost 100 high school and middle school athletes.
Safety on and off the water is our top priority. The Juniors Program strives to create a fun and safe environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle and builds self-confidence. The Treasure Coast Rowing Club developed a SafeSport Athlete Protection Policy following the guidelines set forth by USRowing, and its’coaches are SafeSport Certified.
TCRC is a club sport in the local school districts, which allows our rowers to earn Varsity Letters in Crew through their respective high schools.
TCRC’s Junior rowers compete in regattas (rowing races) across the state of Florida. TCRC is proud to have rowers continue rowing in college. Our rowers have gone on to row at Rutgers, Rhode Island, Cornell, Stetson, UF, Stanford, UCF, Duke and FSU to just name a few.
