LEARN WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A CHAMPION

Overview

Established in 1993, the TCRC is located on the south fork shores of the St Lucie River. This program is dedicated to instructing and training rowers in the Treasure Coast area. Our rowers excel as athletes and individuals and have successfully competed at major state and national USRowing championships. This has enabled our rowers to earn scholarships and positions on premiere collegiate rowing teams in the United States. TCRC also provides athletes, new to the sport, with opportunities to join its novice rowing and introductory/competitive sculling and sweep squads and to participate in summer learn to row camps.

The Treasure Coast Rowing Club (TCRC) was established to stimulate and foster interest in the sport of rowing among amateurs. We promote this interest through education and competitions using every reasonable endeavor for the advancement and upbuilding of amateur rowing in accordance with the best traditions of sportsmanship.

Our goal is to have a safe and fun environment where both adults and youth rowers can enjoy the sport of rowing. We aim to teach the joys of rowing to anyone willing to learn and wanting to get behind an oar on the water. We welcome all athletes regardless of their ability or experience. If you are willing to show up and work hard, there is a place for you in our boats.

History

The Treasure Coast Rowing Club began in 1993 when a handful of local rowers decided it would be the best way for them to share their favorite activity with the communities of the Treasure Coast. Since then, the Club has acquired its own fleet of boats, a membership roster of more than 60, and the recognition of our community’s leaders.

TCRC became a chartered non-profit corporation in 1996. In August of 1997 the Martin County Commission gave their vote of confidence along with almost an acre of waterfront property on the St. Lucie River. This is the site of the Treasure Coast Community Rowing Center.

The TCRC Boathouse

On August 26, 1997, the Martin County Board of Commissioners granted the Treasure Coast Rowing Club’s request for a boathouse site at Palm City’s Leighton Park and approved a 25-year renewable lease.

Treasure Coast Rowing Club (TCRC) is a Not for Profit 501©3 Organization. All donations and sponsorship to TCRC are tax-deductible per IRS regulations. FEI/EIN Number 65-0450966
