Results from Sarasota Invitational Regatta

The Treasure Coast Rowing Club competed in its first spring regatta this weekend at the Sarasota Invitational Regatta in Sarasota, Florida. The club had 25 athletes compete in total from all over Martin County. TCRC had 4 boats medal this weekend! TCRC placed 3rd place in the Women’s Freshman 4+ Category (Coxswain Gigi Dunn-SMS, Samantha Tolton-SFHS, Baylee Slone-HOMS, Lindsey Scanlon-MCHS, Sam Sysytema-MCHS). 2nd place in the Women’s Varsity Lightweight 8 (Coxswain McKenzie Cameron-MCHS, Aislinn Windmeier-SFHS, Evie Flaugh-JBHS, Brooke Bartenfelder-MCHS, Ana Alvarez-JBHS, Sommer Smith-MCHS, Shleby Cavanuagh-Jupiter High, Jules Fox-Oxbridge Academy, Jordan Blair-MCHS). 3rd place in the Women’s Novice 8 (Coxswain Rebecca Cameron-MCHS, A.Windmeier, B. Slone, S. Tolton, L. Scanlon, S. Systema, Taylor Sanders-HOMS, Hope Ali- MCHS and Gabby Galland-HOMS). Finally the Treasure Coast Rowing Club placed 3rd place in the Women’s Varsity 8 category (Coxswain M. Cameron, Joey Kaidy-JBHS, Sarah Larson-JBHS, B. Slone, Madeline Shroeder- MCHS, S. Smith, Shannon Major-MCHS, A. Alvarez, and S. Cavanaugh). This was a very successful start to the Club’s spring racing season.
