Coach Stefanie Falkner, Women's Head Coach

Stefanie graduated from Martin County High School in 2000 and went to college at the University of Florida. There she joined the UF Rowing Team and in the first fall season competed at the 2000 Head of the Hooch, placing 2nd. Later in 2002, she transferred to Appalachian State University after falling in love with guiding white water raft trips down the Nolichucky River in TN. After completing her degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science she moved back to Stuart, FL in 2009 to accept a job with Martin Health and Fitness as a personal trainer.

In 2012 Stefanie was hired as the Assistant Juniors Coach for the Treasure Coast Rowing Club. Along with coaching, Stefanie has collected many medals in the Women’s 2x, 4x, 8+, and Mixed 4x competing at many regattas around the state. Last October she competed with a composite crew at the Head of the Charles in the Women’s 4x and placed 8th in raw time.

In Janurary, she completed her Level 2 USRowing Coaching Certification and was able to learn from some of the best coaches and rowing professionals in the world.

Since her first row at the University of Florida she has had a passion for rowing. She continues working hard to see the Juniors program flourish, more than doubling over the past year. This has allowed the team to become more competitive, winning medals at most of the Spring Regattas for both boys and girls. Most recently the Juniors competed at the FSRA Sweep Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL and for the first time in the team’s history all boats made the grand finals.
